His Presence Is Grace

From the New Age to Jesus. Saved by Grace.

Earlier this week, while I was reading my bible, and in prayer, I kept hearing the phrase, “Stay In My Word” over and over again, and I kept thinking to myself, why am I thinking this? I read my bible every morning – and sometimes in the evening as well…and then like a flash I received the knowledge that it was not a message for me, but for those of you.

The Lord wants all of us to stay in His word. To seek Him daily, and to continue to seek Him, so that we can learn how to follow Him in a way that is pleasing to Him.

Here is the scripture that was given to me:

“In the beginning, was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

John 1:1

The purpose of being in the word are threefold:

  1. Read your bible.

In order to stay afloat of the hardships that happen in life, to not get sucked away and into the storms, we must stay in the word of the Lord. Here is where we learn, grow, and are prepared with the tools to not get sucked into the darkness of the world.

  1. Stay in Jesus.

Here is where we soak in our Creator. Here is where we learn the true meaning of love. We foster and create a relationship, with the one, who whereby everything else comes. Here we are washed clean. We learn how to love correctly – and not like the world – by being in the presence of the one who loved us first. 1 John 4:19

  1. Learn to live like Jesus

By being in His word, we learn how to live more like Him. When we learn how to live like He is. We learn how to walk in righteousness. We learn how to live in a way that is pleasing to the Lord. We live in peace. Not because the world is peaceful, but because He is, and as we grow, we become.

_______

I bought a bible three years ago. I bought it, because reading it was the only thing that gave me comfort, after I learned about The Truth of who Jesus is, what sin is, and how far I strayed from Him…and also because it is what gave me comfort from the strong spiritual battle, that I was in (more on this at another time). For the first time in my life, I was learning that what I thought about the world and who God is, is wrong. I learned that the world grossly misrepresents who the Lord is. We only hear a small part of who He is…

Buying a bible and dedicating myself to read it, has filled in a lot of the missing pieces and  voids in my soul. I used to think that healing my soul, from a lifetime of trauma, meant filling myself with “good” things, “spiritual” things, or “knowledge” to help me heal. But reading His word has taught me that NONE of these things help…in fact, they left me void.

Chasing.

Constantly chasing different things to feel better. But the better feeling things were all lies. And the thing about lies, is that they corrupt. They distort, and they dirty.

Reading the word of the Lord, emptied me of the lies that I was carrying, and freed me from the corruption that was living inside of me.

I wish that I had the time here, to go deep into a lot of these things, but this method (blogging) can be very limited – but what I will say is that the best way to learn, grow, and prepare (more on this below) is to stay in His word.

The other thing that I learned while reading His word, is that the history that we have learned growing up, is LIES – most of us know this, but the reality is that the lies go deeper than we realize, and even those keep us spinning. Something that Jesus does not want for us. We are so engrossed in lies that we can’t get free on our own. Because where lies live, there is no life. There is death. Jesus is Truth. In Truth there is freedom. The lies are part of why we are confused, depressed, and lost.

The god of this world, 2 Corinthians 4:4, has done a great job of seeing to it that we stay preoccupied in deception and chasing our tails, because he wants as many of us to go into damnation with him as possible.

But, Jesus has come to give us life abundantly, and I am here to share Him, so He can set those who are ready free.

Today, I came here with the purpose of telling you, the reader, the importance of staying in the Lord’s word, why and how this has helped me.

This is the scripture for this today:

In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

John 16:33

He told me, personally, do not be afraid, stay in me. Because He is preparing His people for what is to come. And the things that are to come, will be intense (this is putting it lightly).

We know and can see that the world is in upheaval. There are many things happening and going on, some we know, a lot we don’t, but in Him there is rest and peace.

_____

Again, the reality is that I did not come here to post this, but this is what I have.

Today, and this week, in my bible reading time, I happened to be in the book of Revelations. Today while reading chapters 1-5, and here is what stuck out to me:

“…the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. Behold, I am coming quickly!”

Revelation 3:10-11

In this chapter of Revelation (3), Jesus is talking to the church of Philadelphia and talking to those who are faithful and what he has in store for them because of their faithfulness, but the scripture above stuck out, because He is talking about the world, and where we/it is headed. This is not a maybe, this is what is going to happen…

The Lord wants as many as possible, to repent, and come back to Him. It is His desire that those that belong to Him repent, and come back to Him. That none get lost…

“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness: but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”

2 Peter 3: 9-11

However, you can see by the quote above this one (Revelation 3:10-11) that the day of trial will come…His patience will not last forever.

Why should we test him? Today, I want to ask you, are you ready to receive Him?

The simple reality of the world is that we are in a battle. A deep spiritual battle that has been going on longer than any of us here, alive now, can understand. No matter what any one says, there is light and dark. Good and evil. There is God, and there is Satan. We can fool ourselves, to think that we are living the right way, but if we are not surrendered to Christ, then there is no way that we are on the God side.

The world has convinced us that there are multiple ways to reach God. But the bible is clear. There is One way:

“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

John 14:6

And this does not mean, in the spiritual new age way of personal enlightenment, as some think. We, honestly, in our present forms can not, “transcend” our way out of here, or anything else. We are too full of many sins. The book, is clear that we are all sinners:

“for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus…”

Romans 3:23-24

We have been sold, and bought the lie that we are somehow worthy of being in the space of God, through our own actions. We can’t.

Think of it this way: can you think of a person, who has wronged you severely in life? Or who hurt so terribly that you experienced trauma. Trauma so strong that it’s taken many years for you to recover? Maybe even forgive them?…if you’ve been able to.

Or have you yourself, done something so terrible, that it is hard for you yourself to forgive yourself and move past it? These things are difficult because pain is something that stays with us…

In the first case, can you imagine being around that person constantly. In the second case, it’s hard for you to forgive yourself and move on. Right?

If God is perfect, and grieves when we do things against His holy nature, How then can He want to be around us, when we do things that go against Him? Things like lying. Fornicating and sexual immorality. Abortions. Which is the killing of innocent beings, that he so lovingly created. Adulterous relationships? Murders? Sorcery (things that the new age are and lead to) All of the things that our society has now become?

He can’t.

He can’t tolerate these things. We are defiled by the wickedness of here. But the good news is that Jesus has already paid for our sins. The ONLY way that we have a chance is through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Who loved us enough, to come and die a horrible death, to reconcile us back to the Lord.

He, who was crucified, and died, and then rose three days later.

It is our only hope.

He IS our only hope – in this world that is going haywire – as scripture points to (because God is in control of EVERYTHING), to salvation.

No matter what, at the end of the day, we are all going to die at some point. And how we live affects where we are going. That is why Jesus came to show us, HOW to live a sacred consecrated life, IN HIM!

Today, I ask you, what are you choosing?

Friend, today I implore you, to open up your heart to Jesus. I am here, writing these things, not for myself, but for those out there who belong to Him. He is waiting. He wants those that were predestined to come to Him to not tarry and come back home.

He wants to restore you back to Him. To live in Him. So that you can become the fullness of who you were created to be, in Him.

If you have a bible, then pick it up, and start to read it. If not, you can easily still purchase one or easily find an app. to get started.

I know that sometimes it’s hard to put down what you’ve always known. But I beg you today, to think about how your life has felt over the last few years, and to be open to and allow Jesus to show you the way today.

The time is short. There is no time to lose.

Can you choose Jesus today?
